We are pleased to welcome you to Villa Monica, an ancient house in the center of Brentonico that in ancientness there was the first bakery in the country!
The house is located in the historic center between the eighteenth-century Palazzo Baisi and the deconsecrated Church of San Bartolomeo and was renovated by Mara, the owner, about twenty years ago with care, dedication, love and with the desire to keep it as authentic as possible. What makes Villa Monica unique is its authenticity, because it enhances the local elements and materials and this is what our customers appreciate very much! Every corner of the house has a story, something that evokes memories, emotions or a particularity that does not go unnoticed.
The structure hosts two different realities, the “Maso Giomo” farm of Monica and Giovanni and an R&B of Mara, mother of Monica and owner of the building that together they collaborate creating a unique offer of its kind.
The typically Trentino house is on several levels with an internal courtyard and a part overlooking the Renaissance Botanical Garden of Palazzo Baisi. It consists of some rooms and several apartments that can accommodate from 4 to 6 people, all communicating through the typical wooden balconies. The wooden frames were painted with the green color Brentonico, a color that was obtained from the mines located on the Plateau

Monte Baldo is a mountain chain defined since 1500 “Hortus Italiae” for the rich flora that still gives beautiful blooms in May/ June. Recently become a Local Park to safeguard a unique territory and in some places still wild, is crossed by the “path of peace”, boasts the remains of important yellow marble mines and the legendary “green Brentonico”colour. Its millenary conformation, its peculiarity of rising from north to south gives a mild Mediterranean climate thanks by the Lake Garda. Rock walls, hiking and mountain-biking trails, ancient mountain huts, chestnut trees, vineyards and now also medicinal herbs expertly transformed into tasty herbal teas, vegetables, trout, ancient flour and barley, apple juice, carnelian jam…and then alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing in small alpine huts and much more.
I will be happy to give you information or direct you to the appropriate offices in order to get the information you are looking for. I’m sure Brentonico will give you a cuddle, a little relaxation and a breath of fresh air.
